Warrior Competition 2018

Each year, the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) invites Jordanian and international teams, from Special Operations Forces and Law Enforcement Units,to participate in the Warrior Competition and compete in a series of challenging events designed to test their skills and endurance. Participants in the Warrior Competition are given the unique opportunity of training and networking at one of the most advanced combat-training facilities in the world.

At the tactical level, the Warrior Competition builds ‘esprit de corps’ among Jordanian and international forces partnered against terrorism, and facilitates the exchange of; best practices, technology and hardware. The Competition also provides a yardstick for unit performance, and exposes strengths, and/or potential weaknesses, in both unit and individual skill sets.

Competition events are modified every year, however the King’s Challenge event is the Competition’s signature event and is held annually. Due to international recognition, and media attention, the Warrior Competition currently sees an average of 30-40 local, regional and international teams participating. Countries that have so far participated and competed in the Warrior Competition include the following: Afghanistan, Algeria, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Brunei, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Netherlands, Pakistan, Palestine, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Switzerland, Tanzania, The Czech Republic, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United States, Uganda, and Qatar.
